The homestead, which was built at the end of the 19th century, has been completely renovated in the classic style of the Romagna country houses. It is surrounded by 120.000 m2 of farmland that comprises olive trees, sunflowers, and vineyards. The whole area is rich in native vineyards of the sangiovese and trebbiano grape variety.
The house is situated at the foot of the hills in a privileged position with a view of the San Marino and San Leo hills. It is the ideal location to spend a pleasant and relaxing holiday in very quiet surroundings. “Il Podere La Fattoria” is situated in Canonica, a small area of Santarcangelo di Romagna, near the historic Rubicon River, only 13 km from the sea.
The village comprises renowned trattoria restaurants, a church, and grocery shops. The castle that belongs to the Spalletti Counts is nearby with its prestigious wine cellars and riding school. The area also includes many cycling and trekking routes that will lead you to discover a unique area where time stands still.
The Rubicon Valley is a rich and generous land. Since Roman times native sangiovese and trebbiano variety grapes have grown here.
This fertile area is also rich in ancient olive groves that yield a fragrant oil with renowned sensory qualities. The farmstead also produces honey made from flower nectar. Quality wines, oil, and honey can be sampled in the Hotels, and many friends and customers buy them before leaving as a precious present or to enjoy them at home.
